For the past few months, I have been "shopping" and styling items in my own closet. I have found some gems---things that I purchased because I loved, but sat on because they were either pushed back in the closet or saved for an occasion that never came.
In the past year and a half, I realized that nothing needs to be saved, life is short and I can create occasions with style! So I have been pulling out dresses, tops and shoes that were neglected and having fun, styling items from years ago, trending them up or keeping to the aesthetic that I love. I am on a mission to organize better, keep an eye on what I have (sometimes we purchase similar items) and to wear what I have before I purchase new things.
Shopping and restyling what you have can be a money saver. When I think of all the money I spent to get new clothes and shoes, without checking what I already have--I can literally kick myself! My plan is to sell items that I no longer want or need. This is a way to not only make money, but it is also really good for the environment.
